Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has denied allegations
and claims which he deems as the ploy of detractors to mar the name of his
prestigious family.
The outspoken governor took to socio-media to set the records
straight regarding certain information that has been misconstrued.
Following rumours
that his wife was spotted in Dubai on Friday, January 22, The governor who has vehemently denied
media reports that he is one of 15
politicians who own properties in Dubai, said his wife had no business in the
UAE that day.
Governor Fayose
went on to name the media house which allegedly started the rumours, debating
that they were lying and giving photo evidence of his wife’s whereabouts, as of
the time in question.
According to
Fayose’s tweets the media house (Sahara Reporters News) whose claims he said
were unfounded, also went on to say that the governor’s son was arrested in
Dubai, hence the reason his wife had to stop over.
Governor Fayose, however,
said that in an attempt for his detractors to get back at him, they said he had
a house in Dubai and after that claim did not hold water, they went on to
spread rumours of his son’s alleged arrest.
